The Office of the Public Defender is recruiting for Deputy Public Defenders I-IV.
Incumbents represent indigent defendants providing skilled legal counsel and
courtroom advocacy at all critical phases of state level criminal and civil
commitment litigation.

Deputy Public Defender I: Active
membership with the State Bar of California.
Deputy Public Defender II: Active
membership with the State Bar of California AND 2 years of criminal trial
experience as an attorney.
Deputy Public Defender III: Active membership with the State Bar of California AND 3 years of criminal trial experience as an attorney.
Deputy Public Defender IV: Active
membership with the State Bar of California AND 5 years of criminal trial
experience as an attorney.
